Collection of Academic Achievements Commemorating the Retirement of Professor Koichi Omori
Project Background
To commemorate the retirement of Professor Koichi Omori, we were commissioned to produce a commemorative publication highlighting his distinguished achievements throughout his career.
The faculty member in charge first approached us in the summer of 2024, and the project began following careful schedule coordination and a thorough review of the required tasks.
The publication was originally scheduled for completion in early summer 2025. However, the client requested that it be distributed at a celebratory event to be held in March 2025, requiring us to significantly accelerate the production process.
Production Process
Working within a limited timeframe, nearly every member of our team—including those responsible for production and proofreading—contributed to the project, bringing together the full strength of our company.
The faculty members also assisted with proofreading late into the night, and their prompt responses enabled the project to proceed smoothly without delay.
The publication was designed to maintain a clean and simple layout while helping readers gain a deeper understanding of Professor Omori's achievements through carefully organized categories and detailed explanations.
We also held repeated discussions regarding every aspect of the book's design and binding, including the font size and the type of paper to be affixed to the commemorative presentation case.
For the final review, we traveled to meet the professor at his business trip destination and asked him to check the publication in person, ensuring that we pursued the highest possible level of quality.
Challenges and Client Feedback
The greatest challenge was maintaining a high level of quality within the tight production schedule.
However, through close collaboration with the faculty members and the swift, united efforts of our entire team, we successfully delivered the publication in time for the requested date of the celebratory event.
After reviewing the completed collection of achievements, the faculty members praised it as an outstanding publication that exceeded their expectations. For our team, the project was also a deeply rewarding experience that brought a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
