Handbook for Primary Care Physicians

We received a request from the Department of Hematology at Osaka University to produce a booklet that serves as a practical guide for primary care physicians providing long-term follow-up for patients who have undergone hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

The client wished to present highly specialized medical information in a clear and well-organized manner, creating a booklet that would be easy to understand and genuinely useful in clinical settings.

Although the manuscript was well-prepared in Word format, the initial layout was relatively simple.

Our designer therefore proposed a page structure that emphasized clarity and readability, ensuring that the content could be accurately and efficiently conveyed.

We also incorporated features such as an index to allow readers to quickly access the information they need, resulting in a highly practical and user-friendly layout overall.

The project was completed and delivered in approximately two months after receiving the manuscript. The schedule proceeded as planned, communication with the client was smooth, and the production process was carried out efficiently.

One of the main challenges was transforming highly specialized content into a booklet that would be easy to read and use even for readers without specialized medical knowledge.

As a result of these efforts, the finished booklet was very well received in clinical settings, leading to two subsequent reprint orders.

In addition, we were consulted about producing a related handbook focused on supporting return-to-work and employment, based on this booklet, allowing us to continue our collaboration with the client.
