125th Anniversary Commemorative Book
Background of the Project
Approximately one year prior to the commemorative event, we were approached by the faculty member in charge regarding the production of the 125th anniversary commemorative book.
We first organized the overall schedule leading up to delivery and outlined the basic specifications, after which we provided an initial cost estimate.
Based on this, the client selected the authors internally, and the manuscript request process was carried out.
About the Production Process
Although the manuscript submission was delayed by approximately three months from the original schedule, resulting in a delivery delay of about one and a half months, the content was extremely substantial and the final publication achieved a high level of quality. We also received positive feedback and words of satisfaction from the project representatives.
During the production process, the total number of pages increased significantly beyond the initial plan, leading to difficult budget considerations for the client. However, by updating and submitting revised estimates each time the specifications were adjusted, we were able to support informed decision-making, ultimately reaching an outcome the client was fully satisfied with. This approach was highly appreciated as contributing to smooth project progress.
It is also worth noting that our company was responsible for producing the 100th anniversary commemorative publication 25 years ago. While partially inheriting the design and structure of the previous edition, we updated the overall impression to suit the present era, successfully completing a commemorative publication that honors tradition while presenting a fresh and appropriate new volume.
Challenges and Client Feedback
With delays in manuscript submission and extended time required to finalize the content, overall project management and coordination of the printing schedule became key challenges. However, through close communication and flexible responses, we were able to address these issues effectively.
Including our handling of increased page counts and specification changes, the overall quality and final finish of the publication were highly evaluated by the client.
